Standard Terms & Conditions for rent or lease of Car

A quick overview of the standard terms and conditions which we have included in our contract:-


City Adventures Dubai Payments & Additional Charges(In Damage condition) all prices to be payable in UAE Dirhams and all major credit cards are accepted (Visa/Master/Amex/ /Union Pay).


Note: Prices on our website are inclusive of 5% VAT


On Daily or Monthly Rentals

According to the UAE car rental law, a preauthorization of minimum AED 1500 (which will be refundable upon Vehicle Check-in) will be obtained on a valid credit card or cash for the insurance excess, depending on the type of the car as a security deposit.

A security deposit is compulsory. However, if you are a Prime or regular customer from City Adventures Rent a Car Karama then a security deposit is not necessary. In the case of credit card, the deposit amount will be blocked on your credit card which means while the money will not be taken from the card, you won’t be able to spend it until it’s unlocked and generally it won’t appear on your card statement.

For all monthly rentals, payment is to be made in advance. Which City Adventures Rent a car Dubai will be returned in 22 working days. We do not charge our customers the credit card usage/terminal fee charged by our financial institution, as compensation for this charge.


  • For Monthly and Lease Contracts, our invoice will be issued in advance of the term of the rental and must be settled in full immediately.
  • All rental periods are calculated on a 24-hour basis. For example, a one- day rental starting at 9 am must be returned by 9 am the following day. Any delay – for example, if the car is returned at 5 pm the following day – will result in an extra day being charged
  • Vehicles rented on a Weekly contract which is returned during the first week of the rental will be charged based on the Daily rate. Similarly, vehicles rented monthly which are returned during the first month of the rental will be charged based on the Weekly rate.
  • Payment can also be made by cheque, bank transfer, corporate credit card or any other method mutually agreed between you and Car lease, in writing.
  • Note that VAT will be added to your invoice for all rental and service fees as of January 1, 2018, as per instructions from the UAE government. All additional government levies and charges will be applied as required by the applicable law. Prices on our website are inclusive of VAT.

Toll Tax (Salik)

Toll Tax (Salik) will be charged @ AED 5+VAT per crossing in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and the rates are subject to change without any prior notice.


Documents Required for Registration of a rent a car

UAE resident or student visas

  • Passport copy
  • Visa page copy
  • Emirates id copy
  • Driving license
  • Credit card to be used for payment

For Tourists

  • Home-country driver’s license along with an international driver’s permit
  • If the renter changes their visa status from tourist to resident during the rental period, they will need to provide a UAE driver’s license to maintain insurance coverage
  • Photo of the entry stamp in the passport
  • Credit card to be used for payment

General Terms:

As a City Adventures policy, all terms, conditions and agreements between you, our company and our sales associates are required to be recorded in writing before being enacted

All rental and lease agreements will be governed by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates. All applicable current and future government taxes and levies will be imposed as required the laws of the UAE
